Curve offer second batch of pro-spec rain jackets

Vests available, too

Custom cycling apparel company Curve will follow up last year's successful limited run of professional-spec rain jackets with another small production run this winter. The small manufacturer will also add a similarly limited batch of rain vests, too.

According to company principal Henrik Nejezchleb, the Proline Professional GT Rain Jacket is virtually identical to what his Italian manufacturer, MOA, supplies to various WorldTour teams, including the pattern and construction which is supposedly only available to pro riders.  Nejezchleb acknowledges that not every rider will get along with the unusually aggressive cut but for those looking to have the same items as their favorite riders, this looks to be a step in that direction.

Custom apparel company curve is again offering the proline gt professional rain jacket - supposedly the same patterns, fabrics, and construction moa provides for sponsored protour riders - for delivery in early 2012. pre-orders must be placed by the end of october:

The nylon fabrics are polyurethane-coated and seam-taped for waterproofing and breathability, there's a full-length Velcro closure instead of a standard zipper, a fleece collar and cuffs lend a softer touch against bare skin, and stretch panels along the full length of the sleeves and sides of the torso help maintain a trim silhouette relative to more billowy options.

New for next season is the addition of the similarly built rain vest, which is, again, touted to be a functionally identical item to ones provided to MOA-sponsored riders on the Pro Tour. "Same fabrics and general pattern just without sleeves," said Nejezchleb.

Pricing for both items is decidedly premium with the jacket costing US$235 and the vest US$185.  Color options are limited to black with discreet white Curve logos.  Interested buyers will need to place pre-orders by October 31 with delivery slated for January 2012.
