Dalby Forest gears up for family fun
Dalby forest in
The 8,600 acre wood near
Novices will be supplied a bike and accompanied by a CTC instructor for gentle rides, while there’ll be a mountain bike skills course for the more experienced and adventurous riders. Disabled riders can have a go as well on a special selection of adapted machines to suit their needs.
Stuart Startup, a bike ranger with the Forestry Commission, said: "Dalby is a tremendous place to explore on a bike. There are great facilities, matched by a breathtaking landscape. We're keen to get more folk involved – time spent in the saddle can do you a power of good."
Paintballing, orienteering, nature trails, a rocket launching workshop and horse and carriage rides will be on hand if you have less bike-orientated thrill seekers in the family to entertain.
