There's still time to enter the Etape Eryri, a brand new cyclosportive in the Snowdonia region of Wales on Sunday 17 June.

Organisers are expecting around 500 riders for the three distances on offer, with entries closing on 12 June. You can still book your place by visiting

The event's three distances are designed to cater for riders of varying ability, the shortest being the Etape Bach, a 47 mile ride with 730m of climbing taking in some stunning Snowdonia scenery. Those who want more of a challenge can opt for the 76 mile Etape Canol, which features a few more climbs (1250m total) than the Etape Bach. Finally for those who really want a challenge, there's the 103 mile Etape Mawr (1650m of climbing). There's also a special timed hill climb section on the Drws y Coed pass, 16 miles into the ride.

To add more than a bit of glamour, Team Sky's Michael Barry and Chris Sutton will be riding along with team principal Dave Brailsford.

The start and finish of the event will be held at Caernarfon Castle, with camping options and a pasta party available on Saturday night and a full on cycling carnival on Sunday.

"Etape Eryri plans are going from strength to strength," said Tim Lloyd, from organising company Always Aim High Events. "We are confident that the cyclists taking part across the 3 events will be amazed at the routes we have prepared. The scenery is simply stunning and though the roads will challenge all standards of rider, we are sure that people will go away with a sense of inspiration from the North Wales landscapes."
