Tesco and Everyday Cycling have joined forces to organise Tesco Bike active, a new programme of fun family cycling events held in Kent, Manchester, Leeds, Nottinghamshire and Bath.

The events are focussed on family biking and take place on traffic-free routes allowing you to relax and enjoy the pedalling. They're going to be lap based events, so you can go at your own pace and do as many laps as you want.

Event Details
Tesco Bike Active Bedgebury - 17th September - will take place in the Forestry Commission's stunning Bedgebury Forest, which is a haven for mountain bikers of all abilities. Everyday Cycling has teamed up with the Forestry Commission to identify a special 4.5 km loop plus an additional 1.2 km loop for less confident or younger riders. The route is on specially constructed, hard-packed forest trails, making it suitable for a wide range of bikes and riders.

Tesco Bike Active Heaton Park - 1st October - will take place in Europe's largest municipal park, sandwiched between Manchester and Bury, on a specially selected 5km route, all on traffic free tarmac, making it ideal for bikes and riders of all kinds.

Tesco Bike Active Leeds - 8th October - will take place in the beautiful setting of Roundhay Park, using a combination of grass and tarmac tracks. The route passes alongside the picturesque Waterloo lake before the gentle climb back towards the Mansion House and the Arboretum lawn.

Tesco Bike Active Sherwood - 15th October - will take place in the magical, sylvan setting of Sherwood Pines - a haven for families, walkers and mountain bikers. Everyday Cycling has teamed up with the Forestry Commission and identified a special loop using the forest's extensive network of fireroads and singletrack trails.

Tesco Bike Active Bath - 22nd October - is set in the glorious surroundings of Victoria park, nestling in the centre of historic Bath. The undulating course is all tarmac and around 1.4km in length, making it ideal for bikes and riders of all kinds.

Entry Costs for all events is:
  • £12.00 - Adults
  • £4.00 - Children
  • £25.00 - Family (2 Adults, 2 Children)
