Steve Geall has a whole new career path to ride
A lot of stuff has happened to Steve Geall this last year, both personally and in his career. He's left Team Animal, gone into bike production on his own account; he's looking for a new place to live and has taken to running a team of his own. And yet the dirt jumping Guvnor is feeling more laid back than he has for a long time.

"When I was riding for Team Animal I felt I had to do better all the time because it was a big team, but now it's much more low key and I'm riding for a bit of fun."

But you're promoting your G Bike too, how's that going?

"It's going well. I'm testing a prototype frame now, riding it quite hard and it's performing exactly as expected."

Designed by you, built by your dad?

"That's right. Designed to be ridden by me, Oli and Chopper."

I remember those guys when they first appeared in MBUK, they were good then, how are they shaping up?

"They're really good now. They do all the stuff I do and they're well up there in the new school of jumpers."

We'll see you all at The Bike Show, I hope.

"Yes, we're doing that, all the dirt jumping comps and selected 4X events. Taking it easy, having fun and trying to sell a few bikes."
