Giant Bicycles have opened a new concept store on the outskirts of Bristol. The shop in Bradley Stoke is the company's third Giant-branded store to open in the UK in three months, and the largest yet.
Run by a former independent Giant dealer, the outlet at The Willow Brook Centre aims to offer customers "a high street retail experience and a complete insight into Giant’s cycling world".
It is situated just off the M4/M5 motorways, in the home town of Giant cross-country pro Oli Beckinsale. Further stores are already being planned.
Paul Newman, director of the Giant Store, Bristol, said: “The store has surpassed my expectations, I believe we have the winning formula for the future of cycle retailing in the UK."
Bristol is fast becoming the cycling capital of the UK. It was named as the country's first 'cycling city' last year by the Department for Transport and will receive £23m of funding for improving cycling infrastructure and promoting the benefits of cycling.
Specialized were the first company to open a concept store in Bristol, on Park Street in the city centre. Giant have also opened stores in Liverpool and Cambridge.
