Giant UK to Follow the Dog

Giant UK have just announced a new sponsorship deal with one of the most popular bike trails at the Forestry Commission’s Cannock Chase Forest, near Rugeley.

The deal sees Giant UK exclusively sponsor the enduringly popular ‘Follow the Dog’ trail for three years, with plans in the works to rejuvenate the trail. The trail itself was the first dedicated cross country mountain bike route to be established in the midlands.

Ian Beasant, Giant UK’s Managing Director said of the deal, “We wanted to find a cycling trail that was fun and exhilarating for the riders. We’ll be branding the trail over the next couple of months with some creative and hopefully inspiring ideas. We’re also planning to stage some of the largest Giant Dirt Demonstration weekends we’ve ever put on in the UK.”

The current Follow the Dog course is seven miles long and designed for intermediate riders, but Giant will also be taking over sponsorship of the leisure trail and launching a second route to compliment it. The new trail will be made up of wide forest tracks and gentle loops, built to encourage family riding and riders of all abilities to get out and about.
