Go-Ride sessions start this weekend in London

Road and time trial for youngsters

London's Royal Docks cycling facility opens this weekend with the first in a six week programme of cycling activities for young people (10-16 year old boys and girls).

Go-Ride coaches will be on hand in the traffic-free facility from 10.00am to midday. Nigel Hampton, Eastern Regional Manager said: "Developing good technique and bike handling skills are vital in order to ensure riders are able to fulfil their potential and to provide them with a positive experience. The skills form a development pathway from beginner to elite."

The Royal Docks cycling facility is being used as an interim venue while clearing of great crested newts, a protected species, is carried out at the Hog Hill development.
