Join Campagnolo's C11 Dream Team in Italy

11 Olympic and World Champions racing Marathon of the Dolomites

The Campagnolo C11 Dream Team includes 11 Olympic and World Champions who will test their mettle on all the demanding climbs of the Marathon of the Dolomites in the heart of Italy’s Alto Adige region on July 5.

Campagnolo customers who have purchased -- or intend to purchase -- Campagnolo 11-speed groupsets or Campagnolo Cycling Apparel 11-speed sets (Jersey + Bib) only have till May 28 to enter. This will give them the chance to win an entire week-end alongside some of Italy's greatest sports champions:

The Dream Team captain will be Antonio Rossi, flag-bearer for Italy at last year’s Olympic Games in Beijing. The team includes: Giulia Quintavalle, the first Italian woman to win an Olympic gold in judo; Rossano Galtarossa, gold medal in canoeing at the Sydney Olympics in 2000; Margherita Granbassi, gold medal at the World Fencing Championships in Turin 2006; three-time World SuperBike Champion Troy Bayliss; Cristian Zorzi, Olympic and World Champion in Nordic skiing; Juri Chechi, the “Lord of the Rings”, five-time World Champion and Olympic gold medallist at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996; windsurf champion Alessandra Sensini, who won the gold medal at Sydney 2000; marathon runner Stefano Baldini, historic gold medal at the Athens Olympics 2004; fencing champion Aldo Montano, gold medallist at the Athens Olympics 2004; and skier Peter Runggaldier, winner of the World Cup in 1995 in the super-giant slalom.

The champions are already in training, road testing their bikes equipped with the Record 11-speed drivetrain.

Campagnolo will also award prizes for contestants whose names are drawn up to the 11th place. Makes us think of that scene from Spinal Tap:
