Cyfac are a French company who specialise in building custom-fit road bike frames. Two of their machines are gracing BikeRadar HQ at the moment, so we’ve taken a few shots to give you a sneak peak.

Because Cyfac make bikes for riders who want a perfectly fitting machine, the frame building process is thorough, to say the least.

First you discuss the nature of your riding with a Cyfac fitter, and then your vital statistics are recorded by the Cyfac Postural System – a machine which analyses body measurements, riding characteristics and equipment choice to build an optimal rider position and frame geometry.

The Absolu frameset is new for the company in 2009 and the first thing you’ll notice – after the striking orange and white colour scheme – is the integrated aero seatpost.

The post comes with spacers to enable 4cm of height adjustment, along with back, middle and forward adjustments for changing the effective seat angle. It can be cut down or removed and replaced with a normal seatpost.

Other highlights include wishbone rear seatstays, full-carbon rear dropouts and a high performance Forknox carbon monocoque fork.

The Nerv frameset you see here uses Cyfac’s custom blue and white colour scheme, and the frame is a mix of aluminium and carbon. We especially like the rear chainstay marriage between the two materials. The Nerv shares the same wishbone-like seatstay design as the Absolu.
