KELLI'S BIG FIGHT

NO HOLDS BARRED IN THE CAGE
As I wound my way through the small streets behind Chippenham station in the dimpsy evening light, I was joined by groups of men. Huge men. Wearing black shirts carrying the insignia of various martial arts clubs or emblazoned with curious devices as imagined by Conan the Barbarian on acid.
There's a clothing brand called 'Rage' with a warrior motif which looks very impressive on the vast triangular back of a weight lifting man with little space for further tatts.They came in two shapes and sizes. Some of them were big like bulldogs, some of them like Great Danes. All of them moved with that stiff gait which advertises the muscle bound or the sufferer from arthritis.
We grew from a muscle bound stream into a muscle bound river and threaded our way through the highly respectable Chippenham leisure centre to the main hall where some two thousand people were seated around the great octagonal cage.
Outside the door we met Kelli Salone. She, as you will have gathered from all the pictures around here, was our reason for being there. Kelli's given up the boxing and turned to mixed martial arts, training against the blokes in the Rough House Gym. This is her first semi pro fight - against Danielle West, known as Bat Girl. An experienced Judo and MMM arts fighter...
