Landis to put defence online

Floyd Landis has told USA Today that he intends to post all the documentation being used to defend him against a charge of testosterone use on his website later this week. The paper said it had received a copy of the PowerPoint presentation that includes "many elements" of Landis's planned defence.
Among the elements of Landis's defence reported in USA Today at the weekend was a claim that urine sample numbers on some of the testing forms in the case did not match Landis's rider sample number. The rider's defence team also claim the incorrect number was covered over with correction fluid and Landis's number written in, which violates World Anti-Doping Agency procedures that call for corrections to be made with a line through the original notation with the person making the correction initialling to confirm the change.
Landis is also sticking with his demand for an open arbitration hearing with the US Anti-Doping Agency. The rider's spokesman, Michael Henson, has already said the appeal would use "fact-based science" to support Landis's claim of innocence.
