Britain's Killeen fights to the wire at the Worlds

In his final year racing in the Under 23 category, Gary Fisher/Subaru rider Liam Killeen has followed up his 5th in the Olympic Games with silver in the Under 23 Cross Country World Championship race, in Les Gets, France.

Liam was neck and neck for the duration of the race with German, Manuel Fumic, but eventually Fumic proved the stronger overall to secure the gold and improve on his silver medal winning performance of the previous year. Switzerland's Florian Vogel got bronze.

Tomorrow (Saturday) sees the men's and women's downhill, with the elite cross country races on the Sunday. Here's hoping for more British success.
