Rob Jarman is looking forward to a comeback as Marines detect officer potential
Any one who expected Marine Jarman to be well and truly off the bike and into commando training can think again. Rob's passed his Potential Royal Marine Commando course, during which he beat the assault course record, and could yet sign up, but the corps has spotted management potential - well it was obvious to anyone who saw him flying off stupid jumps that here was a balanced individual capable of weighing things up and making crucial decisions under pressure. Possibly.

But what do we know, the Marines know how to pick 'em. So, if Rob goes the officer route, his entry could be deferred for a couple of years which would allow him to get back into the downhill riding and jumping he's been missing.

"It could be good, I've been offered a job with Santa Cruz. I don't know if I'll get back into downhill quite as full on as I was before, but I certainly want to get back to doing big jumps."

In the meantime Rob's been doing features for MBUK, keep your eye open for them. Like anything with Jarman involved, they'll be different.
