Seen a lot of gutsy things, has Brooklands. The first-ever British Grand Prix; the first aeroplane to loop the loop; countless loons, playboys and princes battering round the famous concrete banking, only marginally in control of thundering old supercars with names like 'Babs' and 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'. But its hallowed concrete apron has probably never seen anyone trying to jump a donutting Caterham before. On bikes, of course. The full story's in the next issue of MBUK, on sale 11th August.

Oh, and Caterham has one spare place for an MBUK reader at one of their Brooklands Slalom Challenges (you need to have a driving licence and be over 21). Check out the competitions link on the homepage http://www.mbuk.com/competition.asp?id=6
