The new team is ready

2003 was the best year ever for the MBUK/Scott team. Will Longden won the NPS Elite downhill of course; but the rest of the development team collected their share of glory as well. In cross-country, Richard Firth became (Junior Male) National XC Champ; Bruce McCleary became Scottish Elite XC Champion and Sophie Johnson (Female Junior) and Abi Greenaway (Female Youth) also came in first at the National XC Championships. Ben Stephenson become Youth 4X National Champion and took third overall in the NPS 4X Series; and fifth in the NPS downhill. Matt Simmonds took second in Youth at the DH Nationals and sixth overall in the NPS downhill. James Gould won the Junior race of the Maxxis Cup in Switzerland, took second in the Juniors at the DH National Champs and was the fourth highest Junior at the NPS downhill and 4X series. Of course, we expect 2004 to be just as stunning for Will, Oli and the new recruits.
