MBUK's legendary Dirt video.

.We'll pay a reward for anyone who can tell us where the master is
OK, it's a long shot, but by any remote chance does anyone out there have the original 'master' for MBUK's first ever film? We released Dirt way, way back in the mid-1990s and, though we've got plenty of VHS copies of this all-time mountain biking classic kicking about, nobody knows where the original is. We've checked in the attic, been through the MBUK Batcave, had a look down the back of the sofa. but nothing!
So if by some million-to-one shot anyone has the original in their possession, we'll buy it back from you, no questions asked. Maybe it's showed up on ebay, maybe you got it from a friend of a friend. we don't care. We just want it back.
Dirt is a brilliant film that broke new ground at the time. It stars the late, great Jason McRoy along with Dave Hemming, Rob Warner (whatever happened to him?!?) and Scott Dommett.
The cover lines on the video sleeve say it all: 'Don't ask the reasons why.'cos there aren't any'. Brilliant! 'Don't follow convention. Never say no. Just believe in what you see and let the good times roll.' We love it!
OK, the bikes on Dirt aren't nearly as good as today's rigs and the riding's pretty tame compared to what the top boys do these days, but the whole feel of the film is fantastic, which is why it's stood the test of time.
Trouble is, Dirt has never been available on DVD, only on VHS video, and loads of next-generation mountain bikers have never seen it. So, we were thinking that it's about time we shared it with you all again soon - a bit of retro chic, if you like. Hence, the need for us to find the master copy - a video from back in the day just won't hack it in terms of quality.
So, if anyone out there can help., mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll sort you out with a reward.
