Memory Map launches Digital Map Shop Memory Map
Memory Map unveiled a new pay-as-you-go system for buying digital maps at this week's IceBike trade show. You will be able to buy just the areas you need, as and when you want them, at a scale of 1:50,000 or 1:25,000. Top-ups can be bought using a DVD or online.

The new shop allows you to buy £25 (20,000sq km), £50 (50,000sq km) and £100 (125,000sq km) top-ups on the 1:50,000 scale Ordnance Survey Landranger map used in the UK, for example. The maps cover the UK, French Alps, Germany, New Zealand, Australia and many other countries. More are being added on a regular basis.
Once you’ve topped up your account, you just draw around the area you want to create your own custom map shape. Memory Map also has 'best sellers' lists for areas such as the Lake DistrictNational Park.
You can activate and download Digital Map Shop data directly to a pocket PC too – handy if you’re stuck in the middle of nowhere and you need a way out… just make sure you’ve got a WiFi signal. To learn more, go to the Digital Map Shop.
