Boy Van Poppel of Rabobank Continental won Stage 5 of the 2008 Tour of Missouri, a 174km run from St. James to  Jefferson City.

The overall standings remain unchanged, as Christian Vande Velde (Garmin-Chipotle) leads Michael Rogers (Team Columbia) and Sven Tuft (Symmetrics).
