Europe's biggest urban sports, music and lifestyle festival, is back for its fifth successive year of action packed entertainment.

The National Adventure Sports Show (NASS) 2003 will be dropping in to the East of England Showground in Peterborough on Friday 4th July for three days of urban sports and live music acts. The show also makes a welcome return to the Bath and West Showground, in Somerset on Friday 18th July.

Mountain bikers lined up for the dirt jumping include Chris Smith, Jim Davage, Steve Geall, the Fielder Brothers, Ross Tricker and Ady Bright.

Other entries received so far include Will Longden, Dylan Clayton, Martin Murray (2002 Series winner), Martin Ogden, Duncan Ferris, Chico Hooke, Scott Beaumont and Nigel Page.

The event also features the first ever opportunity for non elite riders to take part with a specially arranged open category (limited to 32 riders) competing on the same track as the Pro's, including the Supercross jump introduced last year. Last year crowds of around 2500 watched the racing and this year's show is expected to be even busier.

With a king of dirt competition including Steve Geall, Chris Smith and Jim Davage, trials displays from the Animal and MAD teams and X Games superstars such as Bob Burnquist and Matt Hoffman in action, the weekend promises to be one of the highlights of the Mountain Bike calendar.

The Pro/AM 2003 Biker-X is back and promises to attract top riders from across the UK. This year's competition promises to be faster and fiercer!

Team M.A.D. are set to return with a vengeance for the 4th year running at NASS. The team will be building the hottest outdoor trials course the UK has ever seen, which will be ridden all weekend by the best bikers on the European circuit. Round one of the M.A.D. National Championships will be taking place at the Bath and West Showground with big prizes from Saracen and Animal, an event no self-respecting rider can miss.

The NASS BMX Dirt Contest is back for 2003, with Chris Mahoney and Kye Fort vying for first place.

This year's show sees the introduction of a dirt jump area, purpose built for beginners to get the feel of the run and jumps used by the pros.

Team M.A.D. will be offering one to one coaching on the Public Access MTB Trial Area, so why not test yourself on the jumps and berms of the specially built circuit.

If you fancy a bit of street riding; then get down to one of the four new courses that have been built for 2003. With two indoor and two outdoor parks, designed by SK8 and Ride in Bath and Y2SK8 in Peterborough and run by professional park managers, you'll never tire of riding at this year's events.

The lifestyle exhibition hall, which has proved so popular with hundreds of thousands of visitors over the past four years, will be back in 2003 - and it's bigger! The expo hall will accommodate the biggest brands in urban sports equipment and lifestyle gear all under one roof. In essence, it's a street and extreme sport enthusiast's heaven!

NASS is the only place to be when the sun goes down. Godfather of the turntables and original mix maestro Grandmaster Flash is flying over to the UK exclusively for both NASS events. He will be tearing up the headline set with his trademark style alongside the UK's very own Blak Twang. Prodigy remixer DJ Spatts and Beat Weird resident Matt Silvers are also confirmed to play the festival, mixing up a fine blend of urban sounds and hip-hop beats. More turntable antics and break dancing, courtesy of the Scarecrow Crew, can be seen in the 'Scratch Convention' whilst residents from Bristol Exposure and the Spunky Bar will be entertaining the crowds in the dance tent.
