Dan Jarvis, the man behind bn3Sports whose principal aim over the years has been to promote and develop women’s racing, has taken the team one step higher by creating a new all-female UCI Trade Mountain Bike team.
Sponsored by Trek and Extreme Medics, and with cyclejersey.com as a ‘presenting’ sponsor, the team will be following a varied programme including European rounds of the UCI World Cup, the World Championships, MegaAvalanche Week, selected rounds of the British DH and XC Series, the British National Championships and the Fat Face Downtown Race.
They will also promote the Tara Llanes campaign, with the logo of the Tara’s ‘Heart of a Champion’ fund appearing on race clothing and the team’s pit area. Tara is a close friend of bn3Sports and the ongoing story of her fight back to health after suffering a serious spinal injury is an inspiration to everyone who witnesses it. The team will seek to publicise and raise money for the fund throughout the season through a number of initiatives.
Reigning UCI Masters World Champion Petra Wiltshire will be the team captain and joining her will be Jaymie Mart and Gemma Collins.
