New custom wrap graphics from Funn

Funn's stand stood out at the Taichung Bike Week earlier this month for two reasons – the pretty Taiwanese models manning it, and the company's new 'custom wrap' designs.

Rather than just powder-coating or anodising their products in different colours, Funn are able to superimpose images onto them – in the case of the 'City Red' components seen here, an abstract photo of Taichung.

From 2010, people will be able to custom-order their own designs, although prices have yet to be confirmed.

Funn’s Justin Schwartz, who is also a professional US mountain bike racer, said: "Initially we started the program for our OEM [products supplied as part of complete bikes] customers. Due to the fantastic response, we have offered the wrap application for 2010 for the aftermarket. Customers will be able to choose their own unique wrap design, and it's very affordable."

The custom wrap process can be used on anything from bars and stems to pedals and cranksets. Funn's biggest seller is the super-wide (785mm) Fatboy DH handlebar, which has been used by the likes of former world downhill champion Sam Hill and freeride star Kyle Strait.

Schwartz said there were more exciting plans in store, including a complete new look for 2011 products. But he said this was being kept under wraps and wouldn't be revealed until the Taipei Bike Show in March next year.

    as asia use more bikes than any other place in the world they have 3 types of seat, lady seat, man seat, and ladyman seat, the last is same as the second but they recognise ladychaps as the third sex and they have certain rights now, ironic thing is that the prettier the asian lady, the more chance there are extras, still good product despite the slant on the actual topic, had to say something though
