Sunday, April 2, 2006 11.00pm
For the last four years, NACC Events_"promoters of the official National National Points Downhill Mountain Bike Series_"have been without a title sponsor. Until now. Thankfully, Europe's largest online bike store has stepped up to the mark and signed a five-figure sponsorship deal and the series is now named Chain Reaction Cycles NPS. The races attract the top riders from all over the country, including all the pro Elite stars who will be battling for points and the overall title of National Series Champ throughout 2006. The series' first event kicks off over the weekend of 7-9 April at a new race venue at Upper Corris, near Dolgellau, West Wales. Michael Cowan from Chain Reaction Cycles said: "We are really pleased to be heavily investing into grass roots racing. The British NPS series is one of the most highly regarded domestic racing series in the world and has bred world class stars such as Steve Peat, Gee Atherton, Vanessa Quinn and Rachel Atherton." Entries for round one of the five-round series are filling fast. Spectators are welcome at all the rounds and can witness all the action of this exciting series free of charge. Both Chain Reaction Cycles and NACC Events see the deal as a long-term relationship destined for success. Go to www.ChainReactioncycles.com - Europe's Largest On-Line Bike store.
