A brand new purpose built mountain bike trail has been launched at the Forestry Commission Scotland's Traquair Forest, just outside Innerleithen in the Scottish Borders.

The 12 mile Traquair XC (cross country) Trail is part of the Euro funded 7stanes Partnership project which is building seven mountain bike centres right across the south of Scotland. This new trail will help put the Tweed Valley Forest Park firmly on the map as one of the best places to go in Britain for mountain biking. Latest visitor figures for the area have shot up dramatically since mountain biking facilities were developed at Glentress Forest, also within the Forest Park.

Directions: When arriving from Peebles on the A72 take the first right (by the Church) and follow the road past the Traquair Arms, over the bridge and into the signed car park on the left.
