Newnham Park to stage 8pm-8am race

A new endurance race to add to the calendar? Oh yes! The Nightrider12 will be staged at the legendary Newnham Park on April 28 2007. This event seeks to launch what is now a season of quality 12 hour races with Bristol Bike Fest, Bontrager Twentyfour12 and Dusk til Dawn all established.

The race starts at 8pm and finishes [obviously] at 8am where all finishers will receive their free event breakfast (more commonly known as a bacon sarnie and a coffee).

The course will be 11km of Newnham finest trails with the usual great mix of flowing singletrack, steady climbs and the occasional river crossing, with some sections floodlit to add to the atmosphere and offer a better view of the venue's array of wildlife.

You can download an entry form from the website. More details will be available on December 10.

The Nightrider12 will offer race options for teams of 4, pairs or those that like to go it alone. Light charging facilities, an all night cafe, water and camping in the main arena will all be available.

Prizes and event support are provided by Gary Fisher, Torq Energy, Certini, The Bike Cellar and XCracer.com.
