He came on the trials scene with a bang so where is Kurt Brain?
So what did happen to you Kurt?

"I was doing a gap jump at the end of January, my front wheel slipped off and I shoulder charged a dirty great rock. Broke my collar bone in four places. Luckily I found a surgeon who was good at doing jigsaws."

Guess we'd better not ask you how you like riding the Ashton then.

"Oh no, ask away. It's great. I've given up 20 inch all together. They have their advantages, but I can do everything so much better on a 26."

You're back riding again?

"Yes I'm going down to Martyn's place at the weekend to do some practise. Both of us have to get strong again. I think he's got further to go than me to be honest. Just got to keep plugging away."

So what are your priorities?

To get fit and try and catch up in the Nationals. I've missed two already but I should get back midway through the series and start playing catch up. Then there are the Worlds in July. Two rounds in Spain and the other in the Czech Republic. I've got to get properly fit by then."
