MBUK readers are invitedSteve Peat has spent the day limping around Doncaster Motor Park, getting the track ready for two days of mainlining petrol.
"Everybody's coming. I've got 100 mini bikes listed, so I reckon to get 50 or 60. We're kicking off around 2pm Tomorrow (Friday 26th) with MX on Saturday".
A monkey bike's just put you in hospital. What happened?
"We were looning around at the National Points Series, I was following Titley, he slid out, I put my foot down and my peg took a big chunk out of my leg."
Detaching your Achilles Tendon, I'm told.
"Not that bad. It was where my calf muscle joins the tendon. I tore the muscle and took a bit out of the tendon.
How long this time?
"Could be a while."
Not a great way to end the season.
"Nah. It started badly, it ended badly and I didn't get much out of it either."
With everyone who is anyone coming at the weekend you could cripple the whole British downhill scene in a few hours.
"Could be. There will definitely be injuries. The course is great, we've got some 20 foot doubles."
Shall I shove it on the website and see if the readers want to come?
"Yes, they'd be welcome. We've made a sort of bowl so people can watch."
Thanks. Mind you don't break your crutch."
"Speak to you later."
