Primetime show for Tour of Britain

By BikeRadar | Thursday, Aug 28, 2008 1.40pm

UK cycling fans will be able to enjoy nightly highlights of The Tour of Britain for the first time ever in 2008, as ITV4 screens all the action from this year’s race.

An ITV scheduling change has meant that the highlights programme will now be aired from 8pm–9pm each evening during the Tour, an hour later than originally announced.

The change will allow spectators who have been out watching the race live an extra hour to get home so that they can relive all the action.

Ned Boulting will present the show, while Hugh Porter MBE and Anthony McCrossan will provide commentary, with special guests joining them on in the commentary box on several of the stages.

The 2008 race begins in central London on Sunday 7 September and finishes a week later in Liverpool on Sunday 14.
