Race-car style trike for Formula One fans

By BikeRadar

Formula One team Vodafone McLaren Mercedes have launched a new children's trike designed to look like a racing car.

The Turbo Twist is aimed at six- to 13-year-olds and will be available exclusively through Halfords in the UK, priced at £119.99.

The mini recumbent has an adjustable bucket seat, joystick steering, a direct-drive 20in mag front wheel with V-brake, extra-wide rear wheels and a safety flag, plus a tail wing and twin exhausts for the full F1 look.

McLaren say: "It’s the pedal powered version of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula One car, giving all young wannabes a chance to role-play their hero."

Apparently the Turbo Twist will let you "slide, snake and drift through 360s and 180s". If you want to see it in action, there's a video on the Turbo Twist site.

  • Errrr, it's a go-kart isn't it?

  • Mine was called a GreenMachine and didn't have all the flashy crap but its brake locked up the rear wheels for awsome skid-outs...hahaha
