Ride with Lance Armstrong in Dublin today

By BikeRadar | Tuesday, Aug 25, 2009 1.14pm

Lance Armstrong has invited people to ride with him in Dublin at 5:30pm today (Tuesday), as he continues his stay in Ireland.

Armstrong posted the invitation on his Twitter feed this morning: "Good morning Dublin. Who wants to ride this afternoon? I do. 5:30 pm @ the roundabout of Fountain Rd and Chesterfield Ave. See you there."

The seven-time Tour de France winner did something similar last week. He asked people to meet him in Paisley, Glasgow for an impromptu morning ride. Despite the rain, around 300 people turned up to ride with cycling's biggest star.

  • Mental mental mental :) Such a pleasure to have ridden with Lance today.

It was mayhem with 1000+ cyclists....one or two crashes...ouch but all in all what

a legend to have come into the city to ride with us mere mortals ....

  • The Pied Piper of cycling does it again!

  • That was seriously cool today. Kudos. He didn't have to do that but he did. And there was me calling him everyname under the sun for making me stand in the pouring rain on Sunday for nothing. Brilliant.
