RockShox SID to get carbon crown and steerer

RockShox's top-end SID cross-country fork will get a carbon crown and steerer for 2010 (RockShox)
RockShox's top-end SID World Cup cross-country fork is to shed 110g for 2010 thanks to a new hollow one-piece carbon fibre crown and steerer tube.

The lowers will be all-magnesium rather than the magnesium/carbon mix found on this year's forks, allowing the SID World Cup to weigh in at 1,400g (full steerer).
RockShox say: "The BlackBox Technology carbon crown and steerer attributes, pertaining to strength and stiffness, have been tested in our labs and in the World Cup race arena since 2008. The result is a light chassis that passes the stringent CEN test standards.
"A year of testing, developing and racing this new carbon crown and steerer has established the next evolution of the SID, which remains the king of cross-country racing."
The 2010 SID World Cup will retain the Power Bulges found on this year's model, which are designed to increase stiffness and bushing durability. It will use the same BlackBox Motion Control damper and Dual Air™ spring system, and will include a PushLoc remote lockout lever.

i was talking to a friend just now about his experience using this fork, according to him its the lightest for ever, but it flexes during rides.
He weights less than 70kg and his MTB is just 7kg.
