Illes Balears' Isaac Galvez won Monday's second leg of the Majorca Challenge, beating Gerolsteiner's Robert Forster and Quick Step's Paolo Bettini in a bunch finish in the resort of Cala Bona. Galvez won yesterday's opening criterium stage in Palma, but is quitting the race tonight to join up with his team's squad for the Tour of the Mediterranean, which starts on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old Spaniard was well set up for the win by his team-mates, who chased down a breakaway by Israel Nu¤ez (Kaiku) and Adolfo Garcia Quesada, who had built an advantage of more than seven minutes. Russian Alexei Markov stood out with his turn of speed in setting Galvez up for the final sprint, where Olympic champion Bettini led out but had to settle for third place.
