The Milram team have confirmed that 2003 world champion Igor Astarloa will be joining them next season. The Basque rider has been with the Barloworld team for the last two seasons, and should seriously boost Milram's Classics potential. The signing of Australian Brett Lancaster as a new lead-out man for sprinter Alessandro Petacchi has also been confirmed.

- Santiago Perez, whose two-year ban for blood doping ended in September, confirmed over the weekend he has signed a deal to rider for the Relax-GAM continental team next season.

- Like former Phonak rider Perez, another more recent member of the soon-to-disappear Swiss team has signed a deal with a smaller team in his home country. Santiago Botero, 34, has agreed to ride for the Orbitel outfit in Colombia next season.
