Oscar Sevilla is the most notable absentee from T-Mobile's pre-selection for the Tour de France, SamPIC BY TDWSPORT.COM Oscar Sevilla has not made it into T-Mobile's pre-selection for the Tour de France despite the race being on his programme since the start of the season. The news comes just days after Sevilla's name appeared in the aftermath of the Operacion Puerto anti-doping investigation carried out by Spain's Guardia Civil two weeks ago. The Spanish rider Sevilla told his team he was not working with Eufemiano Fuentes, the doctor at the centre of the affair, but had visited a clinic subsequently raided by the police in order to visit his training adviser, Ignacio Labarta, who has since been sacked by the Comunitat Valenciana team. In addition to team leader Jan Ullrich, T-Mobile's Tour team comprises Andreas Klden, Serhiy Honchar, Michael Rogers, Eddy Mazzoleni, Giuseppe Guerini, Sergei Ivanov, Matthias Kessler and Patrik Sinkewitz. - Much in demand by several ProTour teams after a string of good performances earlier this season, Samuel Sanchez has opted to show his loyalty to Euskaltal and sign with them for another two seasons. Sanchez, 28, admitted he had turned down better paid contracts in order to stay with the team with which he has spent all seven years of his career.
