SKY SPORTS will broadcast cycling's Tour Down Under - the season opening stage race starting and end

SKY SPORTS will broadcast cycling's Tour Down Under - the season opening stage race starting and ending in Adelaide, Australia - from Tuesday 18 January.

A daily 30-minute highlights programme, will be broadcast four times each day - including in prime-time at 17.30 or 18.30 - on Sky Sports 2, Sky Sports 3 or Sky Sports Xtra. Commentary will come from Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen.

The Tour Down Under will be contested by 12 international teams including Credit Agricole, Cofidis, and Lampre-Caffita. Among the stars in the field will be; Britain's triple Olympic medalist Bradley Wiggins, Italy's Gilberto Simoni and Australians Robbie McEwen, Baden Cooke and Stuart O'Grady.
