SRAM to go 11-speed?

By Ben Delaney | Monday, April 1, 2013 9.19pm

Granted, it is the first of April, but SRAM released a 22-second video on its website today with little context except for numerous visual references to the number 22 and images of a cassette.

With Campagnolo and Shimano already selling 11-speed road groups, SRAM is the last major component player with 10-speed as its top offering. However, the company is already selling 11-speed-compatible Zipp wheels, hinting at what could come.

SRAM declined to comment on the video to BikeRadar, but the component company has often used the mid-April Sea Otter Classic event in California as a launchpad for new product, so perhaps we will have some more definite news in a few weeks.
