Steve Peat Syndicate opens its doors for 2012

You've got until 15 December to get your application in

Think you have what it takes to become a professional downhill mountain bike racer? Well here’s your chance – the Steve Peat Syndicate is looking for 10 more team members for the 2012 season.

The Syndicate, which has just completed its first year, is half development programme/half race team and offers up-and-coming racers the chance to ride at a professional level with world-class support.

With several of the 2011 team members finding sponsors and riding for new teams next year, applications are now being taken to fill the openings. They must be submitted by 15 December. While it’s a buy-in program – it costs £5,995 for next season – applicants still need the talent to make it onto the squad.

For their money they’ll get a Santa Cruz V10 bike (which is theirs to keep), Royal Racing kit and SixSixOne protective gear. Included are two training days with former world champion Steve Peat in North America and support at eight races throughout the season. All the information on how to apply can be found here.
