Gee's fresh from his 'first Brit' performance at round 1 in Scotland and, more to the media point, his excellent showboating no handers off the final double of the 4X. Not a bad life for an 18 year old. So is he feeling the pressure?
"Not as much as I thought I would. I try not to take it so seriously."
A lot of people try that though and it's easier said than done. What's your secret?
"I don't know, but maybe it's being on the same team with my brother, racing together like we have done since we started BMX at the age of 10. I try not to treat it as a race I treat it like normal riding because you go fastest when you're relaxed and enjoying yourself."
Are the no-handers all part of that?
"Maybe, but that's mostly for fun.."
You'll not be taking it easy with the huge jumps and stupidly huge hucks then?
"Oh no, that is the most enjoyable part of riding."
How is (big brother) Dan taking to the idea of you beating him?
"He doesn't like it, he wants to win. But it's always very close with us. One season one has the edge, the next the other."
They tell me you have really huge wrists and big hands for you size and build, is it true?
"Yeah, I expect it comes from all those years of desperately hanging on to handlebars."
Thanks Gee, that was the last dumb question. Good luck in round 2.
