Ever seen a rat on a bicycle? You just might at the Rat Race Urban Challenge which will be held in London on September 29 and 30 with the event village based at Potters Field, Southwark.
Mixed teams of three will take part in adventure challenges across nine of London's boroughs. As the 'Rats' run from checkpoint to checkpoint across the boroughs, they will encounter 'Rat Traps' where they'll take on a challenge - from riding a mountain bike through a specified route, to kayaking down the Thames.
The Rat Race Urban Adventure began four years ago in Edinburgh where the streets and buildings were transformed into challenging obstacles and activities across a series of checkpoints spread out across the city. Since then the race has taken over Bristol and Manchester and now it's on its way to London.
The Event Village offers a host of entertainment for all the family as well as the opportunity to see the racers as they quest across the city. Live music, big screens, kids area, drinks and urban arts like parkour and mountain bike stunts make the village a great place to spent the day.
