Cycling Time Trials (CTT), the national governing body for time trialling in England and Wales, is offering people the chance to try out a time trial bike at the British Leisure Show at Royal Windsor Race Course, from 11-13 March.
Together with specialist time trial and triathlon bike hire company Totally-TimeTrial, they hope to promote the sport to a wider audience. For a £3 fee, riders can test out the hire fleet of Planet X Stealth Pro Carbon TT bikes over a purpose-built closed circuit of 1.5 miles.

Times will be recorded and prizes are on offer for the fastest male and female rider of the weekend. The course is also open to those with their own time trial bikes, and organisers say there will be a fun, informal atmosphere.
CTT national secretary Keith Lawton hopes it will attract newcomers into the sport. “The event will provide bikes for people to have a go and will be an ideal introduction to time trialling,” he said.
Chris Boulton, of Totally TimeTrial, said: “We saw this as an ideal opportunity to support the sport by assisting CTT at the event and to promote our own hire business. Hiring rather than buying a specialist time trial bike is proving to be of great interest, particularly to beginners.”
