Tour of Britain 4: Boasson Hagen wins for Columbia

Lequatre keeps yellow for Agritubel

Team Columbia's Edvald Boasson Hagen won the 156km Stage 4 of the 2008 Tour of Britain into Stoke-on-Trent, beating the LPR Brakes duo Giairo Ermeti and Danilo Di Luca.

"It was a close race - I knew the finish was uphill so I just pushed as hard as I could," said Boasson Hagen. "I was lucky after running wide on the final turn but I managed to hold on and get across the line in front."

Agritubel's Geoffroy Lequatre took over the race lead from teammate Stéphane Bergès. The Frenchmen finished first and second in Tuesday's Stage 3 into Burnham-on-Sea. England's Steve Cummings, riding for Barloworld, is second in the general classification.
