Plenty of action on the transfer front as Cedric Vasseur joins Quick Step for 2006, while Baden Cook
PIC BY TDWSPORT.COM It's all go on the transfer market, with Cedric Vasseur, Baden Cooke and Matt Wilson the latest riders announcing that they will be changing teams for 2006. Former US Postal rider Cedric Vasseur is to call it a day with Cofidis after four seasons with the French squad. The 35-year-old Frenchman is joining Patrick Lefevere's Belgian Quick Step-Innergetic formation for 2006 on a one-year contract. And 2003 Tour de France green-jersey winner Baden Cooke is also leaving France for Belgium, saying goodbye to La Francaise des Jeux and manager Marc Madiot after four years with the team. 'The Cookie Monster' has a two-year contract with the newly named Unibet.com squad - MrBookmaker.com in 2005 - who are hoping for a place in the ProTour next season, but, failing that, will at least be looking for invitations to ProTour events, hoping that Cooke's sprinting pedigree will help to that end. Joining Cooke at Unibet.com will be current Francaise des Jeux team-mate and fellow Australian Matt Wilson.
