Giro d’Italia organisers are offering fans of the race the chance to have their own personal message printed onto the pink leader's jersey during the 2012 edition. Supporters are being asked to tweet what the Maglia Rosa means to them, using the hashtag #Magliarosa.

The competition is open until 15 September, after which the top 100 tweets will be put up on the Giro's Facebook page. A public vote will then decide the top 10. These will be printed inside the jersey, with the winning message adorning the collar. Visit the Giro d'Italia website for more information.
