UK downhill riders top the podium at the Garbanzo DH

The Garbanzo downhill is an epic 15 minute downhill race, falling 3400 vertical feet over rocks roots and the massive jumps in the bike park on the lower sections of the hill. It's certainly got more pedalling than most downhill riders are used to...
UK rider Tracey Mosley came first in the Pro Women category, followed by Shrewsbury-based Fionn Griffiths and South African rider Joanna Petterson took third.
Sam Hill came first in the Pro Men race, followed by Justin Leov riding for the Yeti/Fox Racing Factory Team and South African Andrew Neethling came third. Team MBUK/Santa Cruz rider Marc Beaumont came fourth, and to read the Team MBUK/Santa Cruz race report go here.
The main Slopestyle and downhill competition take place this weekend, for more information go here.
