So far the book written by journalists David Walsh and Pierre Ballester is only available in French. It is the subject of two court cases launched by Armstrong resulting from the suggestion that the six-time Tour winner may have used banned substances. Armstrong has always strenuously denied this claim and has never tested positive during his career. Speaking to the Guardian, former L'Equipe journalist Ballester said it was hoped the book would be published in English during 2005. "We are in advanced negotiations with an American publisher and, if the book is published in the States, there will be a considerable amount of new material in it," said Ballester.
