Frank Vandenbroucke's promising beginnings with his new MrBookmaker team have hit a snag as poor conPICTURE BY TIM DE WAELE After pulling out of the recent Amsterdam Six during the event itself and failing to make it to the Munich Six as expected, Frank Vandebroucke will not now be taking part in next week's Ghent Six-Day (November 23-28). Vandenbroucke's personal manager, Paul de Geyter, and his team manager at MrBookmaker.com, Hilaire van der Schueren, announced the news to the Belgian press on Monday citing "personal and family reasons". Ghent Six director Patrick Sercu cited "a lack of condition" as the reason behind the controversial Belgian's withdrawal. "Frank is not in optimal condition and he has too much to lose in the event of a bad performance at Ghent," said Sercu. Vandenbroucke's next appearance on the bike is now due to be his new team's first winter training camp, which takes place in Spain next month.
