Stefan Schumacher clinched his first stage race win in Gerolsteiner colours when he came in with the pack on the final stage of the Circuit de la Sarthe in northern France. It was close, though, as Schumacher finished tied on time with T-Mobile's Serhiy Honchar, who finished second to Selle Italia's Alessandro Bertolini in Le Mans but a few seconds ahead of the peloton. A difference of a few tenths of a second in Wednesday's time trial settled it in Schumacher's favour though.
