Matti Lehikoinen takes a run down the Champery downhill course, where he won back in 2007 MTBcut
Trek World Racing's Aaron Gwin and Tracy Moseley dominated this year's Downhill World Cup series, but this weekend's World Championships is a different beast – a single race that'll decide who gets to wear the rainbow stripes in 2012.

The course in Champery, Switzerland is notoriously steep and technical, and many eyes will be on the reigning world champ Sam Hill (Monster Energy-Specialized), who's missed much of this season due to injury but put in an amazing performance here back in 2007.
Gee Atherton (Commencal) and Greg Minnaar (Santa Cruz Syndicate) will both be gunning for the win after a disappointing World Cup season, and several younger riders are also champing at the bit, including the likes of Danny Hart (Giant Factory Off Road Team), Josh Bryceland (Santa Cruz Syndicate) and Sam Blenkinsop (Lapierre International).
In this video from MTBcut, ChainReactionCycles.com-Nukeproof rider, and 2007 Champery World Cup winner, Matti Lehikoinen takes a run down the course, showing why it has such a fearsome reputation. Check it out below:
