Team ChainReactionCycles/Intense have just returned from the third round of the Nissan UCI World Cup in Andorra, and are now preparing to race at BikeRadar Live this weekend.
The team had a mixed weekend of racing in Valnord, with Australian Chris Kovarik finishing 12th, Ruaridh Cunningham coming in 36th and Matt Simmonds in 49th place. Despite a crash in his final run, Frenchman Julien Camellini crossed the line in 13th.
Team manager Nigel Page said: “Julien clipped a rock with
his pedal and smashed into a tree hard with his hand. How he finished 13th
after this was pretty amazing but unfortunately with a 'quick' three-hour trip
to the hospital we found out he had broken the fifth metacarpal bone in his
left hand and pushed his knuckle back. He should hopefully be back for round
five in
