Video: Designer Paul Smith talks cycling

Sir Paul Smith is still a keen follower of ProTour racing (Rapha)
Sir Paul Smith was a keen road cyclist before a broken leg ended his dream of becoming a pro racer and led him down the path to becoming a fashion designer.
He hasn't abandoned the sport, however, and has gone on to work with the likes of Rapha and Giro. In this short film, Rapha CEO Simon Mottram talks to him about his love of cycling.

Smith recalls his days as a young rider sneaking home copies of French newspaper L’Equipe, the heroes who inspired him, and his father’s bemusement at the very un-English sport of road racing.
He goes on to discuss the changing nature of the sport, the pros and cons of following cycling in the internet age, and the special relationship he enjoys with today’s elite riders. You can watch the video below:

Great to listen to PS because he is clearly a real enthusiast unlike those that gain access to areas us real fans cannot get near when we go to watch the major tours.Sorry about rant but ut does rattle me.
